KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — A suicide bomber detonated his vehicle near a U.S. convoy Tuesday, killing 18 people, including six troops — five Americans and a Canadian — in the deadliest attack on NATO in the Afghan capital in eight months.
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the blast, telling The Associated Press in a telephone call that the bomber was a man from Kabul and that the vehicle was packed with 1,650 pounds (750 kilograms) of explosives.
But wait.. According to Marth Coakley of Massachusetts, there are no Taliban left in Afghanistan…they’re gone.
Could she have ‘misspoken’? That seems like the flava word of the day for the left. Perhaps they really are that dillusional and out of touch.
Alan Colmes, liberal commentator, of Fox News believes there is no such thing as radical Islam. What is it that causes such a disconnect from reality, such obvious denial of the truth.
Remember Eric Rudolph also known as the Olympic Park bomber? No one in the Clinton administration or in the media had a problem labeling him for what he was – a Christian extremist. I suppose they know that Grandma isn’t going to get angry and walk into church on Sunday with a bomb strapped to her girdle.
So, there’s no such thing as radical Islam? Perhaps someone should explain that to the six families who lost a loved one in Kabul on Tuesday.
Whether it’s out of fear, ignorance or political correctness run amuck, it’s time to stop the insanity and call a spade a spade.
